A study by Wrap found that out of all the different sectors, the construction industry consumes the most natural resources; using 400 million tonnes of material per year and producing 100 million tonnes of waste.
Construction waste makes up roughly ⅓ of the UK’s waste.

Construction waste is any type of waste material produced by the construction industry. Construction waste occurs in both domestic and commercial projects where any type of construction or renovation is involved.
This is by no means an exhaustive list but common types of construction waste include: • Wood • Plastic • Packaging • Concrete • Bricks • Coal • Tar • Metallic waste • Cement • Contaminated soil • Insulation materials • Ceramics
We collect most types of construction waste with the exception of hazardous construction waste. For more information on the types of construction waste we collect, please contact us.
We DO NOT collect hazardous construction waste such as paints and adhesives. DO NOT try to dispose of hazardous construction waste yourself. It is a criminal offence to dump hazardous construction waste - it must be collected and disposed of safely by a professional to prevent risk to public health and the environment. Make sure you solicit the services of a specialist hazardous waste removal company.
Any form of waste that poses significant or moderate threat to public health or to the environment. Examples of hazardous waste includes corrosive or toxic substances, paints, solvents, pesticides, aerosols, electronics and cleaning products.
Once we have collected construction waste from your site or premises, we then transport it back to our 17-acre waste recycling and disposal facilities where it will be sorted. We make sure to recycle any materials that can be recycled to minimise the amount of waste distributed to the landfill.
