As a leading waste management company and as part of our green commitment, we strive to dispose of waste in the most eco-friendly way to minimise any negative impact on our environment.
Our 17-acre on-site recycling and disposal facilities are designed to help us on our eco mission.
Here at WasteCo, we offer a range of waste paper and cardboard recycling services.
The environmental benefits of recycling waste paper and cardboard are massive.
One major benefit of recycling waste paper and cardboard is that it means that there is one less unnecessary item taking up space at the Landfill; a site that is seriously threatening to our ecosystem.
By reducing the amount of waste at the Landfill, this has the positive effect of reducing greenhouse gas emissions which contributes to air pollution and climate change.
Recycling starts with you but it doesn’t end the moment you put your recyclable waste into the recycling bin.
From that moment, recyclable waste is transported to recycling facilities where a significant amount of labour is used to organise and process it.
Recycling creates jobs and with more jobs, comes more stability for our economy and livelihoods.
Think about how many things we use cardboard for and how many everyday items are made using cardboard.
Cardboard has so many uses for items such as cereal boxes, paper towels etc.
Making new paper from recycled paper uses 70% less energy than making paper from pulp.
Recycled cardboard doesn’t lose its durability even after it has been recycled, making it a great material to put to good use.
Corrugated cardboard will have degraded completely within a year and can degrade even faster if faced with harsh weather conditions.
At WasteCo, we are proud of our 17-acre on-site waste disposal and recycling facilities, where we organise and separate any waste materials we collect into recyclable and non-recyclable waste.
We have a ‘zero to landfill’ goal and do everything in our power to minimise any negative impact on the environment.
We are committed to the slogan ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ and as a waste management company, we recognise our responsibility to dispose of waste properly, ethically and sustainably.
We provide waste paper and cardboard collection services for a number of different areas in Greater Manchester. If your hometown is on the list, give us a call today.
The process of recycling cardboard can vary but in general, the key processes stay consistent.
As not all cardboard material is the same, due to different materials and processes being used for different pieces of cardboard, it must be properly sorted.
As part of the recycling process, cardboard is then shredded, pressed, rolled, mixed with water and converted.
We accept any form of waste paper and cardboard materials including: • Newspapers, magazines • White paper • Brown paper • Envelopes • Wrapping paper (non-shiny) • Cereal boxes • Packaging For more information about the types of paper waste and cardboard we accept, contact us.
We do not accept waste paper or cardboard that contains food stains or any form of food waste. Find out more information about our food waste services here.
